DeNA is releasing the mobile web application framework MobaSiF (Mobile Simple Framework) as an open source project at YAPC::Asia 2008 Tokyo. DeNA has been developing and using MobaSiF for variety of successful mobile web services, including Moba-Oku and Mobage-Town, serving more than 10 million registered customers with over 15 billion monthly page views. Designed to be simple and easy-to-understand, this lightweight framework would dramatically boost engineers' productivity on developing web applications for Japanese mobile phones. Key components include MVC controller, handset ID detector, fast XS implementations for page template engine and pictograph (emoji) conversion.
In this session, we (Shuhei Kawasaki and Tokiharu Noto) will introduce the powerful features delivered by MobaSiF.

DeNA では YAPC::Asia 2008 Tokyo 開催までに、独自ウェブアプリケーションフレームワーク MobaSiF (Moba Simple Framework) をオープンソース化する予定である。MobaSiF はモバゲータウン, モバオクなど DeNA のモバイルサービスで幅広く利用されている。MobaSiF はとてもシンプルで薄いフレームワークなので理解しやすく、エンジニアはその上でケータイ向けウェブアプリケーションをかんたんに開発できる。MobaSiF には MVC コントローラ, ケータイ認識/認証, XS で実装された高速テンプレートエンジンと絵文字変換などの機能が含まれる。
