Updated (and more detailed) version of my favorite YAPC::NA 2009 talk of "Building a desktop application with HTTP::Engine, SQLite and jQuery".

This talk will cover why it's a good idea to build a desktop app using the existent "Web application" technology, how to make it perform really well using HTTP::Engine and AnyEvent as well as Coro threading and how to make your app portable and behave sexy using SQLite database and jQuery scripting.
